This policy explains how Viva Health Centre, operated by HPashaei Medicine Professional Corporation ("we", "us" or "our"), uses cookies and related technologies on vivahealthcentres.com. It describes the information involved, the providers that receive it and the choices available to you.

What cookies and tracking technologies do

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. They can remember a session or associate visits and actions with the same browser. First-party cookies are stored for the website you are visiting; third-party cookies are associated with another provider. Session cookies generally expire when the browser session ends. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or are deleted.

Website scripts and similar technologies can also transmit information without storing a cookie. Information may include page addresses, referring websites or campaign details, visit times, IP addresses, device and browser characteristics, and interactions such as clicks, scrolling and pointer movements. Browser identifiers and health-related browsing activity are not necessarily anonymous.

How these technologies are used

Website operation and online booking

Technical information is processed to deliver the website and support security and reliability. When you use online booking through Cortico, that service may use cookies needed to maintain your session, authenticate access and provide the requested booking functions. These operational purposes are distinct from optional analytics and advertising-related processing. You may call the clinic instead of booking online.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure visits, traffic sources and interactions so we can assess content, navigation and campaign effectiveness. Google receives technical and usage information when the analytics service runs. Its first-party cookies can distinguish browsers and maintain session information. Common cookie names include _ga and names beginning _ga_. These cookies support analytics and are not necessary to read the public website.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session replay to understand navigation and identify usability problems. It collects page and interaction information to reconstruct activity within the webpage. Replay is not a recording from your camera or microphone. Clarity cookies include _clck, which associates activity with a browser identifier, and _clsk, which groups page views into a session. These functions are optional analytics.

Microsoft also identifies third-party cookies associated with Clarity, including CLID, MUID, MR, SM and ANONCHK, which support browser recognition, identifier synchronisation and related functions. MUID can be used for advertising, analytics and other operational purposes. The cookies encountered depend on browser restrictions, location and service behaviour.

Microsoft acts as an independent controller and may use information for its own purposes, including improving services and providing Microsoft Advertising. Its terms also describe research and development uses of non-personal data, including artificial intelligence. These purposes extend beyond the reports we view about our website.

Website statistics and page testing

Our website platform, Framer, also provides built-in traffic statistics without tracking cookies or persistent browser identifiers. These statistics help measure page views and traffic sources. Where we compare versions of a page, Framer's current cookie-free testing measures which version produces more visits or link interactions within the same day. Cookie-free processing is different from collecting no information: technical requests are still needed to deliver the website and produce these statistics.

Your cookie choices

Our cookie banner lets you accept all optional tracking, reject optional tracking, or manage your preferences. You can use the public website, telephone links and online booking links without accepting optional tracking. Declining website analytics does not prevent you from accessing the separate Cortico booking service, which has its own operational cookies.

Unless a valid earlier choice is stored, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity remain blocked until you give the relevant consent. Ignoring or closing the banner, scrolling or continuing to browse does not count as acceptance. If you give consent later, the selected tools start from that point; we do not collect earlier interactions to send retrospectively.

In the preference panel, you can choose Google Analytics separately from Microsoft Clarity. The Clarity choice covers session replay and the Microsoft uses described above, including advertising-related processing. Cookies or local storage needed to remember and apply your privacy choices are used for that purpose, not to authorise optional tracking.

You can reopen Cookie Settings from the website footer at any time to change your choices or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent stops future tracking by the affected tools and removes their cookies where our website can do so. It does not automatically erase information already sent to a provider. Choices apply to the browser or device where they are saved; clearing site data or using another browser may require a new choice.

Browser settings

You can use your browser's privacy settings to review, block or delete cookies, restrict third-party cookies and manage other stored website data. Blocking cookies may affect online booking or other requested functions. It does not necessarily stop scripts from sending information. Private browsing limits some local storage but does not, by itself, prevent analytics collection.

Google Analytics controls

For supported browsers, Google provides the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. It prevents the supported Google Analytics scripts from sharing visit information with Google Analytics. It does not block other services, including Microsoft Clarity.

Microsoft Clarity controls

Microsoft directs visitors who wish to opt out of Clarity telemetry to the Digital Advertising Alliance choice tool, where they can select Microsoft. Microsoft also states that Clarity supports Global Privacy Control, a preference signal available through supported browsers or extensions. Provider opt-outs have different scopes. Advertising preferences do not necessarily stop all analytics or other processing. Some choices are specific to a browser or device, and cookie-based choices may be lost when cookies are deleted. Apply your choices on each browser or device you use.

Contacting the clinic

You can contact us to ask about tracking, request help exercising your privacy rights, or withdraw consent to an optional use under our control. We will explain what we can do, any limitations and any relevant provider controls. A request does not automatically remove information already processed lawfully or information subject to a retention requirement.

Cookie duration and information retention

The cookie names in this policy are examples documented by the providers, not a guarantee that every listed cookie is set on every visit. Expiry depends on the cookie, service configuration and browser restrictions. Google documents a default lifetime of two years for its _ga and _ga_ session-state cookies; that default can be changed, and browser limits may shorten it. Your browser's stored-data settings can show the cookies and expiry information actually present on your device.

Cookie expiry is different from retention of information already sent to a provider. Deleting a cookie does not delete that information. Microsoft describes standard Clarity recordings as retained for 30 days, with favourites and selected recordings retained for up to nine months; heatmaps may also be available for up to nine months. Provider processing for other purposes is governed by the applicable privacy notice. Our Privacy Policy explains retention and requests relating to information under our control.
